The folks from Storage Lubbock Texas have compiled some Storage literature composed in a blog style.
My wife and I love hosting get-togethers at our home. When we have been blessed with the space we have, we’d feel selfish not to share our home with friends and family. From hosting church gatherings to having our son’s soccer team over for a cook-out, we love to fill our house with people.
Lately, though, we’ve noticed how much our frequent company has taken a toll on our home. The carpets are beginning to be noticeably gross (though we never much liked the carpet anyway). And while we’ve been thinking about replacing the carpet, we’ve also considered the merits of re-landscaping our backyard. The grass is difficult to maintain, and many of our neighbors have been switching to xeroscaped yards, which is easier to manage and looks awesome.
But our habit of hosting such large gatherings in our home and in our backyard means that we have a whole lot of furniture. Our main living room has three couches, two recliners and a papasan. Not to mention the coffee table and a couple of side tables. Our backyard is just as bad: two sets of patio furniture, a grill, and a fire pit.
How were we going to landscape and re-carpet with so much stuff in the way?
That’s where Storage in Lubbock came in. It was my wife’s idea, really. We went to the nearest Storage Lubbock location and talked to one of their storage experts. The staff was great, and they helped us find exactly what we needed in just a matter of minutes. We didn’t have to sign any term contracts or anything, so we could store our furniture just as long as it took us to carpet and landscape. We got the perfect size unit and were able to get a free trailer to help us move our stuff in.
Now we’ve got our living area cleared out and we can start our remodeling process. Thank goodness that Lubbock Self Storage was as affordable as it was, or we might have a tighter remodeling budget!

The start of school is just around the corner. And if you’ve got kids going off to school for the first time, you might find your whole life changing even more than you expected. Sure, you’re having to say good-bye to your baby, but I’ll bet there’s parts of this whole arrangement that you won’t even think about until they’ve been out of the house a week.
Like, wow—their old bedroom sure is spacious. And it looks so lonely with only half of their old things linings its walls. You never noticed how big your son’s closet was…and how perfectly it would hold your crafting supplies, your file cabinet, or your overflowing wardrobe. Come to think of it, if you could find a place to move his old dresser, your sewing machine, your desk or your drawing table would fit perfectly against that wall…
Before you know it, you’ve fantasized your dream space right on top of your son or daughter’s old room. They won’t be back till Thanksgiving, right? And we’ve got an air mattress that would suit them just fine.
When you’ve got too much high school leftovers in your child’s old room, bring it all down to Lubbock Storage where we’ll hold it all safe and secure while you fill up your newly realized space with your hobbies. You can safely repaint, redecorate, and refurnish with all that extra furniture tucked away in one of our climate-controlled units.
Get the room you want this fall and let Storage in Lubbock TX help make your vision a reality. The kids won’t mind.

Moving is a crazy, sometimes hectic process. And often times, you don’t have as much warning about a move as would be ideal. This is the case for my husband and me. Right now.
With a flooded job market in Lubbock for what he wants to do, we find ourselves needing to get to another city, and since our lease is up in five weeks, we don’t have a lot of time to find a place. Especially when we want to make sure we do the right thing.
Luckily, I know that no matter what happens, we have Lubbock Storage nearby and if we get stuck here waiting to find a place out there, we won’t have to lug out belongings around the country with us on our search. They can stay safely planted in Lubbock at an affordable Storage Lubbock facility and will be waiting for us when we get back. We’ve stored out stuff at Storage in Lubbock location before, and our experience was great. Everything was easy, and the people there were friendly and helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Lubbock Self Storage again.
We don’t know where we’ll be in a month, so there’s no way to know if we can move out stuff into a new home or not. Having Storage Lubbock Texas as an option helps ease the stress of a hectic move, and I’m thankful for it.

Sometimes all that junk that’s sitting around your home is…just that: junk. But that’s not always the case. You might be in desperate need of clearing out some space in your home, but think twice before you throw out, sell, or donate your possessions. A lot of people will try and talk you out of “hoarding,” but saving sentimental items isn’t necessarily hoarding. You might be labeled a “pack rat” or other such names, but it’s not your fault you have such a sentimental heart, is it?

In West Texas, you’ll find quite a few farmers and ranchers. Storage in Lubbock sees a lot of these guys, too. As land gets scarcer around Lubbock city limits, what with the town expanding at its current rate, many former country-dwellers are finding themselves hugged all around by urbanism. They might still be holding onto their trade, but they can’t expand like they might have once been able to.
If that old barn and shed aren’t enough to store all your things, you might be in big trouble.
Or maybe you just don’t want to build anymore upon your land. If your space is limited, you might not want to take up room with another storage shed, especially if the things you’re storing aren’t tools or anything you’ll find yourself needing all that frequently.
Well, if you’ve decided you need some extra space for storing your farming supplies, Storage Lubbock has sites inside and outside of the city that can serve your needs.
Before you start hauling truckloads of stuff off to a Lubbock Storage Unit, make sure you know some of the things that can and cannot be stored. There are just a few simple things to keep in mind.
- Don’t store tires. Often times, you can store tractors and other equipment, but storage units don’t allow you to store tires because of the cost of disposal should your unit be abandoned.
- You can’t store hay or pet feed, nothing that would attract rodents or vermin into your unit.
- Don’t store animals or anything that’s alive. In case it wasn’t obvious.
And remember, if you have any questions about storing your stuff, ask the Lubbock Storage site manager or any of the nice people working at the facility. They’re there to help you and making your storage experience as easy as possible.
Climate Controlled Storage is a reality and probably even a necessary reality for people with Storage in Lubbock. This blog is a simple but smart reminder to find the proper temperature units for those with Lubbock Storage needs. After all, why bother with Storage Lubbock Tx in the summer if your possessions are going to melt?
------
I live in Lubbock, Texas. Average weather in the summer, fall, and most of spring: 95+ degrees and sun. Luckily technology has given us ways of dealing with this; things like air conditioning, ice cream, and my favorite…not going outside. However we are not so lucky in all things.
Yesterday I walked out to my car in the 99 degree weather, turned on my radio, and attempted to plug in my mp3 player to listen to my favorite music. The first problem I became aware of was the impossibility of being able to hold my player long enough to plug it in due to the extreme heat the metal had conducted; like 2nd degree burns were meant to add to my listening experience. Unfortunately, after nearly throwing the player across the seat, the next thing I realized was that my player would not even turn on. It had overheated.
This is a far too common problem experienced out here in the desert of West Texas. The ridiculous heat in the summer, as well as the bitterly freezing cold in winter are incredibly devious enemies of many possessions, especially of the electronic persuasion.
This can easily cause great difficulty when considering temporary or long-term self storage Lubbock. Often it is our larger electronic items like televisions, stereos, audio equipment, or even instruments that need to be stored, but risk the greatest damage from extreme weather conditions. The solution is more simple than many would realize.
Thanks yet again to technology, it is not only our homes that can be cooled by heat and air conditioning, but self storage units as well! There are numerous options when choosing self-storage, and one of the most beneficial is a climate-controlled unit. These units utilize constant air conditioning and heat to maintain average temperatures of 65-80 degrees.
So if you have concerns about the condition of your storage items, consider getting a climate-controlled Storage unit to eliminate the most unpredictable entity in West Texas: the weather.
It’s vacation season. And what makes vacation better than your charming portable living spaces? I’m talking about RVs, pop-up trailers, sailboats, motorboats…all those lovely commodities that are awesome for vacation…but not so awesome for the remainder of the year. When you have to store them.
RVs are really big. Have you noticed? Often times, owners don’t have enough room to store them on their property. In most places, you can get ticketed for parking your extra-curricular vehicles on the side of the street, or even in the grass. You could build a separate garage, but you might lose your backyard…or your savings…or your mind.
Let’s make this way simpler.
Lubbock Storage offers boat and RV storage just the way you need it. It’s convenient, and it’s made to suit just the kind of storage you’re looking for. You can go for a fully enclosed unit (basically a garage) with lights, electricity and roll-up doors, or you can do something simpler with a canopy space or even just open parking.
Storage Lubbock even offers amenities on the boat and RV sites such as free dump stations and washing stations. And of course, just like all storage sites in Lubbock, your vehicle will be under 24-hour surveillance within a secure area.
When you’re thinking about boat or RV storage in Lubbock, keep in mind the convenience and peace of mind you’ll be getting by storing your vehicles at one of our boat/RV sites.

Yes we are primarily Storage Lubbock experts and Self Storage Builders. We do self storage design all over the country and pride ourselves as the best Lubbock Storage provider in the entire West Texas region. But, we are also here to give you some important tips regarding home improvement. So, we asked an experienced renovator to write some basic tips for you as you consider changing things around inside your home.
------
You’re finally getting the chance to remodel your home. Maybe it’s your kitchen, your office, maybe all your kids are finally out of the house and your daughter’s bedroom that was painted lime green, covered floor to ceiling in band posters and shopping bags is going to become a decent guest bedroom. Whatever room or rooms are about to become your project, it’s an exciting endeavor.
But let’s not forget that it can be a messy, stressful endeavor, too. You can take several steps before you start stripping a single sheet of wallpaper.
The first might seem obvious, but it’s something that, if not well thought out, can cost you a lot of wasted money and time: Plan thoroughly and carefully. Don’t just walk into your bathroom and start gutting, thinking, “I can just start from scratch.” Often times, a room that needs improvement can be drastically enhanced by incremental renovation. If a few steps can change the look of your room, then there’s no need to spend all the extra money.
Take things one step at a time. Even if you’re ripping out your entire living area and working from the concrete up, you don’t want to get yourself trapped in a position where, if you are forced to stop working, you have absolutely nothing completed. If your funds are running low or other areas of your life unexpectedly require more of your time and attention, having the walls half painted, the floor half tiled, and the fire-place only half re-bricked, isn’t going to be the state you want to leave your room in. It’s unattractive and it can be dangerous. Keep your focus tight and you’ll save a lot of time and headache.
Think about all your home décor and furniture ahead of time, too. If the room you’re renovating consists of a lot of furniture, knick-knacks, appliances, or what have you, don’t forget to plan about what you’re going to do with all that stuff in the meantime. Renovating an empty room will be mess enough. Your living space will be filled with plastic covers, paint buckets, brushes, ladders, rolls of carpet, all sorts of home improvement tools. Save yourself a little bit of that mess by using a self-storage unit to get those sofas, bookshelves, entertainments centers and all that stuff out of your way from the beginning. It might sound faster and cheaper to just shove all your extra furniture into the other various rooms of your home (just for a week or so, right?) But renovation projects might take longer than you expect. And being able to walk into clean, spacious, put-together rooms after working on your project all day will really help ease your stress levels, instead of aggravating them.
Home renovation projects are exciting. Just make sure you take the time to plan and make arrangements before you jump into the gutting and re-building, and your time, money and stress can be saved.
